What we are hiring for

• Security officer — unarmed

  Static posts, door work and patrol routes. Nights and weekends are most of it. No prior security experience required.

• Security officer — armed

  Requires firearms qualification, and in Montana a state firearm endorsement with annual requalification. Prior military or law enforcement helps but is not required.

• Mobile patrol driver

  Running a route overnight, checking sites and logging each pass. A clean driving record matters more than a résumé.

What we ask

• 18 or older, and able to pass a background investigation — Rapid City licenses every individual officer, and the city runs that check.
• A phone you answer and a way to get to the post.
• Willingness to write things down. The log is half the job.
• The judgment to de-escalate. Anyone who wants this job for the confrontation is applying to the wrong company.
